Founding Advisor | Progress Toronto
Siva Vijenthira is a Founding Advisor of Progress Toronto. Siva has promoted civic engagement and inclusive city building at Cycle Toronto, CultureLink, CivicAction, the Institute for Canadian Citizenship, and now 8 80 Cities. She helped develop the City of Toronto's Youth Engagement Strategy, with a focus on addressing systemic barriers to participation in public consultations.
Siva also writes a column about the intersection of cycling and equity issues for Spacing Magazine, and is an advisor to The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) and the Metcalf Foundation's Cycle City program.
As a former refugee who found home in Toronto, Siva believes strongly in our potential to be a more equitable, just, and welcoming city.
