Kevin Rupasinghe

Your Progressive Champion for City Councillor in Scarborough Southwest (Ward 20) is Kevin Rupasinghe. Kevin is a local resident who lives in Cliffside and has spent years making streets safer for all road users in Scarborough.

Kevin ran in the 2023 council by-election and only narrowly lost by just 5%. This election is an important opportunity to flip the council seat and elect a strong and principled progressive. He is committed to working with other progressive councillors to make housing more affordable, invest in more reliable and accessible transit, create safer streets for all road users, and expand access to community programs and services. Progress Toronto will be working hard to identify progressive voters in Scarborough Southwest and help get out their vote in support of Kevin.
