TORONTO — On a vote to lower development charges at the June 2026 meeting of Toronto City Council, Councillor Brad Bradford failed to declare that his spouse holds a senior role at a big developer that stands to receive a multi-million dollar benefit from Council’s decision. This breach of conflict of interest rules is the subject of a new Integrity Commissioner complaint against Bradford from Progress Toronto. Read more here.

You might think that an integrity complaint over an alleged cash-for-access event in Concord (where lobbyist-organized donors paid $250 to $3,000 to get face time with a sitting councillor) would be the worst thing to happen to Brad Bradford in his first week on the campaign trail. On April 2, 2026, a full month before candidates could even register to run for Mayor of Toronto, Councillor Brad Bradford was the featured participant at a cash-for-access event in Concord, Ontario billed as “An Evening With Brad Bradford.” Individuals were allowed to meet with Councillor Bradford for fees ranging from $250 to $3,000. The event was orchestrated by lobbyist Nick Ainis and held in Concord, Ontario, far from Councillor Bradford’s constituents in Beaches—East York and even Toronto residents. Read more here.
Ford’s grab of the TTC won’t improve our commutes. It will increase fares, make service worse, and leave us with less say over our transit system. Stop Ford from making the TTC more expensive and less reliable.
