Sara Ehrhardt
Your Progressive Champion for City Council in Toronto—Danforth (Ward 14) is Sara Ehrhardt. Sara served her community as TDSB trustee fighting for local schools and communities against Doug Ford alongside families, current City Councillor Paula Fletcher, and MPP Peter Tabuns.
She co-founded Toronto East Enders for Child Care to successfully advocate for affordable child care and organized to save the SH Armstrong/Duke of Connaught pool. Sara worked to hold Metrolinx accountable and fight for improved traffic safety measures along the Ontario Line.
Progress Toronto supported Sara’s trustee run in 2022. Sara is committed to working with other progressives to build more affordable housing, end homelessness, invest in transit, and expand school meals! Progress Toronto will be working to spread the word about Sara in Toronto—Danforth.

About Sara from her website: Sara Ehrhardt is running for City Council to continue leadership that stands up for Toronto-Danforth's values. Because in our neighbourhoods, our business communities, and on our waterfront, we all fight to create a better life, not just for ourselves but for everyone who calls this community home.
A local parent and public policy professional with a background in engineering, Sara got her start in local advocacy, fighting successfully to save the Duke of Connaught school pool, expand east-end swim programs, and protect childcare centres from cuts.
Elected as Toronto-Danforth's public school trustee in 2022, she became one of our community's most effective voices.
When Ontario Line construction hit our neighbourhoods, Sara delivered real protections: a dedicated construction liaison committee, a health and safety plan and protective wall at Pape School, more crossing guards at critical chokepoints, improved noise and vibration monitoring, and a safe relocation for Pape students.
She championed traffic calming near schools along Dundas, Gerrard, and Mortimer, led the charge for cooling and ventilation funding, and saved pools, continuing education, and language programs from permanent closure.
When the province stripped Toronto of its elected trustees in 2025, Sara kept serving, knocking on our doors, holding forums, publishing updates, and co-founding the Toronto Education Advocacy Network. She made alliances to successfully push back against Doug Ford's plans to eliminate elected school board representation altogether.
