Tim Ellis
Your Progressive Champion for TDSB Trustee in Etobicoke—Lakeshore and Etobicoke Centre (TDSB Ward 1) is Tim Ellis. Tim has been an Etobicoke resident for the last 14 years and lives there with his wife and their two children.
Tim has volunteered in the community for a number of years including helping organize the annual Grilled Cheese Challenge, participating in the Etobicoke—Lakeshore Santa Clause Parade, and other local initiatives. He has served on the boards of the Mimico Residents Association, LAMP Community Health Centre, and the Mimico Lakeshore Community Network.
Tim is committed to stopping education cuts, working with parents to bring in more resources to our schools to create a more equitable school system, and fighting for high quality public education. We are working to identify Tim’s supporters and get them out to vote on election day.

About Tim from his website: I'm running for TDSB Trustee first and foremost for my kids, about to start school themselves. I worry about the impact of disruptive new technologies; I'm concerned about health and safety issues in schools; and I'm frustrated with chronic underfunding of the school system by the provincial government. These are turbulent times for Etobicoke families and all Canadians, and I believe that when my community faces challenges, I have a responsibility to get involved in setting things right.
With years of board governance experience, a lifetime of passionate community service, and a proven record of effectively advocating for - and winning - policy changes that benefit working families, I am ready to hit the ground running on day one to navigate these challenges.
Etobicoke families deserve a meaningful say in our school system. Students deserve safe, healthy, inclusive schools and world-class educations. Teachers deserve the resources to do the jobs they love. I know how to listen, get the facts, build consensus, make a plan, and then drive collective action to get things done.
