Training: Have Your Say on the TDSB Budget

The province has cut education for years and it’s time to push back. TDSB Trustees and staff have to decide how the funding from the province is best spent to support students and schools, but they can also call on the province to provide more funding. We know that education cuts hurt students, educators, and communities. During the budget process, you can demand more for education.

The TDSB will be hosting public consultations to hear directly from people on what they want in the budget on March 26. Speaking at the School Board is also known as making a delegation. At City Hall it is called a deputation. Delegations are an opportunity for you to tell school board trustees your opinions and experiences to impact their decisions on the budget.

Not sure where to begin or what to say? Join us on Thursday, March 21 to learn how to speak at the Toronto District School Board to impact the TDSB budget. You will learn more about the school board’s budget, the delegation process, and how to make the biggest impact on trustees.
