Budget Training Series:

City Budget 101

See other Budget Training sessions offered here.

We have a big opportunity this year to win bold investments in our city. The City of Toronto's 2024 budget process has begun. Mayor Chow will release her budget on February 1 based on the proposed staff budget, community consultations, and budget committee recommendations. City Council will then vote on the Mayor’s budget on February 14.

The Mayor and City Council will make important decisions on funding for city services, public transit, police, and much more. What they choose to invest in impacts you, your neighbours, and Toronto’s future.

That's why we want to make it easier for all of us to understand where the money is going—so we can better advocate for the budget we need to see in our city.

On Tuesday, January 16, Councillor Alejandra Bravo’s Chief of Staff—Wyndham Bettencourt-McCarthy—will lead our City Budget 101 training. Join us to learn more about the budget, the process, and how you can have your say.
