Spring Training Series:
How to Talk Politics with Family and Friends
Check out our other spring training sessions here
There is a municipal election coming in October, meaning more people will be talking about city politics. Even for the most engaged person talking about politics with family and friends can be uncomfortable.
However having these conversations with people in our lives is how we get them to support a more progressive city. It is even more important while conservative groups and politicians spread harmful misinformation through social media and expensive ads.
How do you speak about politics with people in your life who may not consider themselves political, have different views than you, or are listening to talking points from the right?
Join us on Tuesday, April 21 for our workshop with Progress Toronto Organizing Manager Donovan Hayden and Community Organizer Peter Nguyen. You will learn best practices in speaking with friends and family about politics, how to navigate difficult conversations, and how to motivate them to get involved!
