On April 2, 2026, a full month before candidates could even register to run for Mayor of Toronto,  Councillor Brad Bradford was the featured participant at a cash-for-access event in Concord, Ontario billed as “An Evening With Brad Bradford.” Individuals were allowed to meet with Councillor Bradford for fees ranging from $250 to $3,000. The event was orchestrated by lobbyist Nick Ainis and held in Concord, Ontario, far from Councillor Bradford’s constituents in Beaches—East York and even Toronto residents. Read more here.

Ford’s grab of the TTC won’t improve our commutes. It will increase fares, make service worse, and leave us with less say over our transit system. Stop Ford from making the TTC more expensive and less reliable.

Speaking at Budget Committee can feel intimidating—that’s why we’re offering a workshop to help you get prepared. On Sunday, January 18 at 12pm we will be hosting an online Speaking at Budget Committee Prep Session. After learning the structure of a good deputation, you will have time to write, practice, and get feedback with other speakers.

We will be hosting a deputation training with the Toronto Youth Cabinet (TYC) on Wednesday, January 14 at 6pm. TYC Transit Lead Zain Khurram and community organizer Monica de Vera will be leading our How to Speak at Budget Committee training.

The City's Budget Committee will be hosting public consultations on January 20 and 21 that directly inform the Mayor’s proposed budget.
